چکیده

In a radio-wave shield, a method of blocking radio waves in which a space is surrounded by a high loss dielectric material, some waves leak through the long and slender gap between the walls. We analyzed the losses in the gap section and in the gap aperture. The former was analyzed by using an equivalent parallel board transmission line, the latter by using an aperture field method. Here we describe these analyses and the experimental support of the results.

کاربرد روش معادله سهموی در تحلیل مسائل انتشار امواج داخل ساختمان

With the rapid growth of indoor wireless communication systems, the need to accurately model radio wave propagation inside the building environments has increased. Many site-specific methods have been proposed for modeling indoor radio channels. Among these methods, the ray tracing algorithm and the finite-difference time domain (FDTD) method are the most popular ones. The ray tracing approach ...

Radiation Safety Considerations for Design of the Spear3 Storage Ring*

The SPEAR3 storage ring at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory (SSRL) is an upgrade of the existing SPEAR2 ring to a 3-generation storage ring with beam parameters of 3 GeV of electron beam energy, 18 nm-radian emittance and up to 500 mA of circulating current. While the existing injector will not be changed, the 234-m-circumference SPEAR2 ring components will be completely replaced w...

محاسبۀ ضخامت کمینۀ حفاظ برای اتاق ماموگرافی به‌کمک کد MCNP-4C

In this study MCNP-4C code is used to simulate the least shielding requirements for a mammography room. In order to simulate the X-ray tube, a molybdenum target is irradiated by 28 keV electrons. Then, a molybdenum filter with a thickness of 30 micrometers was used to remove the low-energy parts of X-ray spectrum. Finally the dosimetry evaluations were conducted after designing the lead shield ...

Non-contact radio frequency shielding and wave guiding by multi-folded transformation optics method

Compared with conventional radio frequency (RF) shielding methods in which the conductive coating material encloses the circuits design and the leakage problem occurs due to the gap in such conductive material, non-contact RF shielding at a distance is very promising but still impossible to achieve so far. In this paper, a multi-folded transformation optics method is proposed to design a non-co...

Estimation of carbon-ion-caused radiation levels by calculating the transport of the produced neutrons through shielding layers

G. Fehrenbacher, F. Gutermuth, T. Radon GSI Darmstadt, Germany An important aspect to be considered when designing the GSI future project will be the radiation protection of both the staff and the environment. One of the prerequisites for a permission for the operation of a high-energy accelerator is a careful planning of the necessary radiation shielding equipment. In order to give recommendat...
